VOCABULARY BUILDER

Winter Pastime

Winter is here, so it's time to go ice-skating at the local rink. People can rent the ice-skates, or they can bring their own. Admission is cheap, and ice-skating can be enjoyed by people of all ages: children, adults, and even senior citizens can join in on the fun. When it comes to skill level, some people are good skaters who rarely slip or fall. But some people are newbies who spend more time lying on the ice than skating on it!
