VOCABULARY BUILDER

Social Media

Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus are used by people all over the world to stay in touch with friends, share information and even do business. Although the advantages are clear, users should also be aware of the unpleasant side of social media. Cyber-bullying and trolls are pervasive; another major concern is disinformation because the political bias of a social media company will negatively affect the users who disagree with its political views. However, social media is now a part of daily life and will continue to grow as more people join the global online community!
