The Businessman

The man is on his way to a business meeting. He will try to close a deal that he has been working on for several months. It's important to negotiate fairly with his business partners so that their relationship will continue to be mutually beneficial for many years to come. They will discuss payment terms, sales projections and licensing rights. If they can reach an agreement on these points, they will sign on the dotted line and celebrate with a toast!

 

Simple Definitions

- close a deal (v) = convince sby to make a deal

- mutually beneficial (adj) = benefiting both sides

- a term (n) = a condition in a contract

- sign on the dotted line (v) = sign a contract

- a toast (n) = raising one's glass to drink in celebration of sth

(adj) = adjective, (adv) = adverb, (n) = noun, (v) = verb, sth = something, sby = somebody
