Family Road Trip

The family is on a cross-country road trip. They are traveling in their RV which is equipped with a refrigerator, a TV and other creature comforts. Along the way, there are several rest areas where they can spend the night, top up their water tank, and take a shower. Between rest stops, the children have fun looking out the rear window and telling jokes. The whole family will be a little sad when they have to drive back home for work and school!

 

Simple Definitions

- cross-country (adj) & (adv) = from one side of the country to the other side

- an RV (n) = abbreviation of "recreational vehicle"

- a creature comfort (n) = a modern convenience such as electricity, running water, etc.

- a rest area (n) = a zone near the highway that has bathrooms, picnic tables, water, etc.

- top up sth (v) = refill sth

(adj) = adjective, (adv) = adverb, (n) = noun, (v) = verb, sth = something, sby = somebody
